Housegroups are made up of
a band of Christian pilgrims from the congregation in Mitcham
- all shapes, sizes and colours. We meet in one another's homes,
aiming to keep the sessions fairly short, about an hour a week
over 5 6 weeks.
We begin with a prayer and then
take it in turn to read a passage from the Bible. We interpret
and reflect on how the scripture might affect our daily lives.
You can just listen if you want to but we're very friendly and
I think you would soon join in. We laugh and sometimes it's quite
emotional and we feel the early disciples must have met and shared
like this. We are reading God's word from the past but living
in the present.
So if you would like to know
more, come and join us. PS you also get tea and biscuits. Contact:

'Open to God' discussion group
The Open to God group meets every other Tuesday during term time
to discuss one of the burning issues of today. Discussions are
proposed by members of the group and can touch on any topic of
relevance to our lives as Christians, which covers just about
everything. Past topics have included sexuality, objections to
Christianity, the established church, religion and violence,
and the nature of Christ.

Women's Group
This is a small but select band of women who meet on the last
Tuesday evening of each month. The group is open to all women
who attend the church. Activities vary from an evening ramble
(to a pub), arranged 'talks', going for a meal, small craftwork
etc. We're looking to expand to theatre or concert trips. new
members and new ideas are always welcome.
